Refund policy

HOW DO I CANCEL AN ORDER, OR RAISE A CASE FOR RETURN OR REPLACEMENT?

If, unfortunately, you have to cancel an order or raise it for return or replacement, please do so by contacting us at one of the following coordinates:

    We DO NOT answer phone calls without a prior conversation on WhatsApp or SMS or Instagram.
    If you call on either of these numbers without prior consent from our team for a telephonic conversation, you will not receive a response, and your number could be blocked from future calls.)

CANCELLATIONS

An order can only be cancelled before it has been shipped.
Once shipped, the order cannot be cancelled and will only be eligible for returns & replacement on a case-by-case basis.

  • For cancellation requests raised before the order is shipped:
    • If you cancel your order before your product has been shipped, we will refund the entire amount via a store credit voucher.
    • We strive to dispatch your product(s) as soon as you place your order with us, hence, any requests for cancellation of orders placed should be made immediately by messaging us on WhatsApp at +91 7827 317 804 or +91 8447 575 557, or by emailing us at info@chalkstudio.shop.
    • If the order has already been processed or shipped by the time of your communication, the Returns & Replacement policy for a shipped order will be applicable.
  • For cancellations made after the product has shipped:
    • Refer to the Returns & Replacement policy below.
      (If eligible, either an exchange of style or size will be processed, or a refund will be processed through a store credit voucher after the product is received back at our warehouse.)

 

RETURNS & REPLACEMENT

Our Returns & Replacement policy is effective for 14 days. If 14 days have passed since your order was delivered, unfortunately, we cannot offer you a return, replacement or exchange. 

Within the 14-day window, ONLY the following cases are eligible for a return or replacement:

  1. YOU WISH TO CHANGE THE SIZE OR EXCHANGE OR RETURN AN UNUSED PRODUCT:
    The product is unused and in the same condition as you received it. You have packed the product back in its original box and packaging. You have communicated with our team, and our team has approved the case for return or replacement.

  2. INCORRECT PRODUCT OR SIZE WAS RECEIVED: A different product or size than the one mentioned in your order details was received by you. You have packed the product back in its original box and packaging. You have communicated with our team, and our team has approved the case for return or replacement.

  3. DAMAGE OR DEFECT FOUND IN A PRODUCT: A damaged or defective product was received by you. You have provided videographic proof of the product being damaged upon receipt and when taken out of the original packaging box. You have packed the product back in its original box and packaging. You have communicated the same to our team, and our team has approved the case for return or replacement.

In any of the 3 situations above, once our team has approved your case for return or replacement, you can send your product back in its original box and packaging to our warehouse address mentioned below:

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING SENDING PRODUCTS TO OUR WAREHOUSE:

  1. Products SHOULD NOT be sent to our warehouse without first raising a return or replacement request with us and getting the same approved by our team. Any products sent to our warehouse without prior confirmation from our team will not be accepted by our warehouse staff.
  2. The customer will be responsible for paying the shipping costs for returning the original product to our warehouse. We only bear the cost of shipping the exchange pair to the customer.
  3. Orders are eligible for exchange once. In the case of repeated exchanges of the same order, the customer shall bear the shipping cost both ways.
  4. Make sure to use a reliable and trackable shipping service. If you are shipping any product(s) priced over ₹2,000 in value, we also recommend purchasing shipping insurance. Note that we are not responsible for the courier service that you use for returning the product to our warehouse, and as such, we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item or that we will receive it in the original or intended condition.


ONCE RETURNED PRODUCTS ARE RECEIVED AT OUR WAREHOUSE
:

Once the returned product is received at our warehouse, our staff will quality check (QC) the received product. We will then notify you whether the QC of the returned product has been approved or rejected.

If approved, you can receive a refund or an exchange against the same:

  • REFUND: Refunds will be processed via a store credit voucher issued for the eligible amount.
  • EXCHANGE: An exchange of style or size can be processed if you so choose.
    • If the exchange product is priced higher than the returned product, the deficit amount will have to be paid by the customer.
    • If the exchange product is priced lower than the returned product, the deficit amount will be paid to the customer through a store credit voucher.

If the returned product is rejected during QC, the product will be shipped back to the customer, and the shipping cost shall be borne by the customer.

We reserve the right to refuse a refund or replacement if the product is not received in its original or intended condition or is received in a damaged or used state.

SALE ITEMS

Only our full-priced items may be returned, replaced or exchanged.
Sale Items or Discounted Items are NOT eligible for Return, Replacement or Exchange.

 

GIFTS

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a store credit voucher for the value of your return.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send the store credit voucher to the original customer/gift giver.
